Studio

Studio Kukkapuro, built in 1968–69 of concrete, steel and glass, has been the home and workspace of designer Yrjö Kukkapuro and artist Irmeli Kukkapuro for decades.

The studio is located in a private grove in Kauniainen, a small town in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The studio was designed by Yrjö and the engineer Eero Paloheimo. It is truly a unique building that evokes the architectural charm of the 1960s.

Visits

Unfortunately we are not booking visits to the studio during fall and winter seasons. We are working towards opening the studio as a home museum and a centre for creative design thinking.
